John is one of the UKs leading low carbon, circular economy and sustainability experts, entrepreneurs and journalists. John has extensive experience in marketing and communications in the worlds of sustainability, renewable energy, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure

As one of the hosts of the EV Café, John has a reputation for chairing and interviewing business leaders, politicians and the man in the street, working with household names to tell their story. 

John works with brands such as Grand Designs, the AA, BBC, Go Ultra Low, SWARCO, Media 10, Bauer Media and many more to tell stories and connect suppliers to buyers through engaging written and video content, personal appearances and chat. John provides marketing and communications services including social media and multi channel communications and PR support.
As the ex Head of Sustainable Transport John uses his policy experience, gained with the Scottish Government, and commercial skills to provide expert consultancy to, amongst others, Scottish Enterprise, Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation and was the author of the Police Scotland Carbon Management Plan, making them the first Police Service in the world to have an aspiration to be carbon neutral.
