Recognising that there are still barriers to change - vehicle supply, charging infrastructure, driver resistance and impact on productivity to name but a few - Europcar is working with many organisations, supporting their sustainability journeys. We are helping employers understand the full implications of electric and plug-in hybrid motoring with the steady addition of sustainable vehicles to our fleet, enabling our customers to experience EV motoring in real-world conditions, but without having to make a long-term commitment.

The Europcar ‘One Sustainable Fleet’ programme is also driving our focus to reduce emissions with a goal to have 20% of our fleet fully EV by 2024 and to have reduced emissions in our fleet globally by 46% by 2030 with 100% of the fleet EV by 2036. And walking the talk, 75% of our own company car vehicle order is EV and 15% hybrid. The average CO2 for this fleet is 17g, compared to 114g 12 months ago.
