Alex Colquhoun is the Group Manager (Fleet Maintenance and Repair) for Glasgow City Council (GCC). He supports the council’s Glasgow Climate Plan and Carbon Management Plan through the roll out of its EV infrastructure. He also manages the Transport Workshop that is responsible for maintaining the council’s fleet of 1300 vehicles, ranging from cars and light range vehicles including to heavy trucks and a fleet of hybrid hydrogen /diesel gritters. Alex also oversees the operation of the workshop garage, bus section, plant workshop and taxi inspection centre, and is one of the named licence holders that ensures GCC remain compliant with the Traffic Commissioner.
